The shoe is aimed at professional runners with excellent technique, adequate muscle work and who control their stride very well, so they do not need excessive cushioning or stride direction.
It is recommended for series or short training distances and long distance competitions.
Joma has specifically worked to achieve maximum ventilation with the enhanced VTS system. The orientation of the mesh pattern ensures internal airflow from toe to back, cooling the foot with every stride. The upper is reinforced with synthetic inserts, which conform to the runner's foot, protecting the foot and providing stability without adding weight. This is made possible by FLEXSHIELD technology.
The excellent lightweighting work is especially visible in the tongue. The flat one-piece tongue weighs only a few grams and will go unnoticed by the runner. To make it very comfortable, a very thin foam inner piece is added to secure the laces. The laces are flat, made of a lightweight thread that contributes to the overallultra-lightness of the shoe.
The midsole creates a low profile shoe. The cushioning provided by the FOAM REACTIVE system absorbs each stride while allowing you to take off quickly without getting too high off the ground, saving energy. Joma developed an extensive biomechanical study of the footprint of the technical runner targeted by the R.5000 to reduce the sole only to the points where the sole of the foot is in contact with the surface.
