Basketballs

Mostly orange in color, ball basketballs are usually made of leather, rubber or synthetic materials.

What size basketball should I choose?

The size of a basketball depends on whether you're a man, a woman or a child. For men, size 7 is used.

For women, a size 6 is recommended, and for children under 12, a size 3 to 5 is recommended.

It's important to understand that the bigger the size, the bigger the circumference and weight. Up to the age of 12, you'll need to adapt to your child's needs.

The different sizes of basketball:

Size 1: from age 3

Size 3: 4 to 6 years

Size 5: 7 to 12 years

Size 6: for juniors over 12 and women

Size 7: for men.

Choose a indoor or outdoor ball? What's the difference?

There are two types of ball to suit different basketball playing surfaces. The ball can be played indoors ("indoor") or outdoors ("outdoor"). These different names, often printed on the ball, indicate whether the ball is designed for indoor or outdoor use.

The difference between a indoor and outdoor ball is the cover, which is rubber for outdoor use and leather for indoor, offering a better ball feel.

However, leather is less resistant and grippier than rubber. Nevertheless, there are also hybrid leather balls that are much more resistant, making them ideal for indoor and outdoor basketball!
