How does Korfball work?
The aim in Korfball is to score more baskets than the opposing team - just like in basketball. However, these two sports are quite different. The most significant difference: Korfball players do not play with a backboard behind the hoop - so aiming must be precise. Due to the rules about steps and rebounding, individual dribbling is heavily restricted. As a result, teamwork becomes very important. Passing, catching, running, and shooting are the key technical elements and the foundations of every Korfball match. These can be practiced and implemented playfully from a young age.
