Official competition, training, street for the playground, balls in the colours of NBA teams: the Black Friday balls discounts all styles of basketball. Available in size 5, 6, and 7, depending on the player's age and category.

Choose your brand below, then filter by size and playing surface.

Club, home or playground

This page brings together the balls stocked during the promotion, for the club, training at home or the street court. You will also find packs for clubs and mini-balls for the youngest players. Two criteria decide: the size and the surface you play on.

Wilson and Spalding, the US legacy

These two brands have long been associated with North American professional basketball.

  • The page Black Friday balls Wilson features the NBA range, the popular Evolution for indoor play, 3x3 balls, and packs for clubs.
  • The page Black Friday balls Spalding offers the TF range in composite leather for indoor use, rubber balls for outdoor play, and balls in the colours of European clubs.

Molten for match play, Nike for the street

Two other brands complete the selection, one focused on competition, the other on outdoor play.

  • The page Black Friday balls Molten brings together the BG range, including models approved by the FFBB for club matches, as well as training balls.
  • The page Black Friday balls Nike mainly offers rubber balls for playground use, durable against asphalt.

Four brands, four specialisations

Each ball brand chosen on Basket-Center has its own strength.

  • Molten supplies the official ball for international FIBA competitions. Its BG range covers both competition and training.
  • Wilson manufactures the official match ball for the NBA and WNBA, and adapts this expertise for both indoor and outdoor.
  • Spalding, a longtime supplier for the NBA, remains a reference with its TF range in composite leather.
  • Nike stands out with its rubber balls designed for street play.

Size 5, 6 or 7: the FFBB rule

The size depends on the age and gender of the player, according to the categories set by the French basketball federation.

  • Size 5: children, from mini-poussins to poussins.
  • Size 6: benjamins, and all female categories starting from benjamines, including seniors.
  • Size 7: boys from the minimes category and adult men.

In terms of material, composite leather offers the best feel indoors but wears out quickly on asphalt. Rubber handles outdoor play. Indoor and outdoor balls offer a compromise.

A new ball cheaper later in the year

Other promotional pages take over.

The special ball offers display current promotions. After the operation, the selection Christmas balls helps find a gift, followed by the ball sales. End-of-line stock can be found in the ball clearance section. Clubs can also find balls and team equipment on the Black Friday Clubs Section, and other categories are on the main Black Friday page.

Frequently asked questions

An official ball for club matches, at a low price?

FFBB approved balls are on the page Black Friday balls Molten. Check the size for your category and the approval mention on the product sheet. That is what counts in an official match, not the price.

What cheap ball for playing outside?

A rubber ball or one marked outdoor: it withstands the abrasion of asphalt. The playground balls Nike are made for this. Save your composite ball for indoor play.

A pack of promotional balls, is it good for a club?

Yes. A pack usually costs less per unit and provides identical balls for the whole group. Compare packs from Wilson with those on the webpage Black Friday Clubs Section.

What size should I buy for a child?

Up to poussins, a size 5. Then, a size 6 for girls and benjamins. Mini-balls Spalding delight the little ones or can decorate a fan's room.

How to inflate and maintain your ball?

Inflate it to the pressure marked near the valve, using a moistened needle. If overinflated, it bounces poorly and wears out faster. Clean it with a damp cloth and store it away from heat, which can cause the cover to swell and crack.
