The AW2 is a low-top shoe that gives you total freedom of movement. However, it doesn’t skimp on security: TPU inserts are placed on the outer front of the foot and at the heel, providing unbeatable stability. Your feet will also be perfectly secured in the shoe thanks to the synthetic upper and two anti-slip pads positioned at the heel. The outsole features a chevron traction pattern in the midfoot, which transitions to multidirectional at the front and heel.
An innovative structure
A new system called "Three Core" is incorporated into the shoe. The concept? A unique midsole made up of 3 stacked technologies: the 'P-Ultralight' cushioning on top and the 'Taichi' cushioning underneath. A carbon plate 'Foothold+' is inserted between the two foams. The aim? To absorb all impacts during jumps and sprints, providing you with an instant propulsion feeling, like a catapult. The energy transfer between these 3 layers guarantees you two things: unparalleled explosiveness that you will constantly display and a reduction in muscle fatigue in your feet and legs.
Personal distinctions
The AW2 is infused with the history of Andrew Wiggins to enhance the shoe's personalization. In addition to his logo on the TPU insert at the heel, the shoe features personal elements related to Mapple Jordan, such as Wiggins' signature on the lace loop and his number 22 on the top of the tongue and the strap at the back of the shoe. Wiggins also wants to pay tribute to his family and commemorate his victorious journey with other elements present on the outsole.
